Groups
Whatever your age or availability, there may be a small group here for you. We have a variety of church activities for adults, young adults, youth and children. Home groups, social activities, women's groups, men's groups and more. You name it, we will probably have it!
Children's Groups
On Sunday's we make a crèche available for children under 3 during the service at the back of the Performance Hall. Parents are welcome to stay with their children or leave them to be looked after by our crèche staff.
For children aged between 3 and 11 we have a group that meets during the service in one of the rooms next to the performance hall. It is a time for sharing news, hearing bible stories, playing games, making crafts (and sometimes food!).
Youth Groups
We have an active youth work at OBC with several groups meeting regularly. We make it our priority to welcome, encourage and nurture our youth. We want them to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, and to work out what following him means to their everyday living.
The Youth often meets up for a range of trips and activities, currently there are 3 regular groups meeting:
Sunday Youth
Aimed at secondary school age young people, this takes place during our Sunday morning service. It lasts around half an hour and includes a short talk or study, games and prayers.
Girls Group
For secondary school age girls, this group meets for an hour every fortnight to catch up, chat, pray and reflect together.
Boys Group
For secondary school age boys, this group also meets for an hour every fortnight. Usually its loud, entertaining and lots of fun with a bit of spiritual input thrown in.
Adult Groups
Thursday Group
A daytime group where women meet together to get to know one another and encourage each person to know God better. A group where support is not only spoken, but active throughout the week!
Men's Group
A weekly get-together for bible study and conversation, for support and encouragement for one another.
Home Groups
An evening weekly or fortnightly for deepening relationships and exploring the Bible and its relevance in the 21st Century.
